Understanding Examination Practices in the CNIPA Trademark

To apply for the registration of an international trademark through the Madrid system, the application documents must first be submitted to the trademark authority of the country where the applicant is located, which we call the Office of Origin. The examination requirements and standards of practice for Madrid trademarks of the Office of origin are a matter of great concern to applicants as to whether the application documents can be smoothly transferred to the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
