Under Schedule D of the NLAP Agreement Centres are required to deliver unit level data to the ABS in September 2022.
This webinar will explain how the ABS will manage this data, what it will be used for and why quality data is so important for the sector.
The Legal Assistance Data Project managed by the Australian Bureau of Statistics aims to compile quality, comparable and meaningful statistics about the legal assistance sector, as required under the National Legal Assistance Partnership (NLAP).
The ABS will lead a discussion about data from the sector including:
• The process the ABS follows to check and edit the data it receives;
• The checks that can be done before data is submitted; and
• Turning recorded data into information and knowledge.
Participants will gain:
• An understanding of why good quality data is important and how to ensure your Centre delivers appropriate data;
• Insights into how the ABS assesses quality and maximizes data quality; and
• An update on the Legal Assistance Service Data project since the March 2021 webinar.
Member Centres can access additional updated resources about the Legal Assistance Service Data project through the Members’ Only Portal on our website.
All are welcome to register for this webinar.
