Legal Counsel (Industrial Machinery Manufacturing industry)

Legal Counsel with strong business acumen.

Our client is a leading company in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing legal counselling and services to enable the business to achieve the set objectives in accordance with applicable legislation and internal compliance standards
• Analyze business and stakeholders’ requirements, and make recommendations on how to apply best practices and methodologies to deliver best business outcomes
• Contribute to the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, processes, and tools for legal disciplines
• Assess and monitor all processes, procedures, structures, products, and services from a legal and compliance point of view
• Contribute to the development of customer and/or partner agreements, advise on legal matters and execute legal activities on behalf of management and other relevant third parties
• Exchange and share legal and compliance knowledge, contribute to legal networks, and proactively inform management about legal and compliance developments

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Business Law discipline
• Minimum eight years of relevant working experience in a law firm or an in-house legal team
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence leadership and all levels of the organization
• Able to work in fast-paced environment with demanding deadlines and possess a flexible, business-oriented mindset
• Pro-active, independent, result oriented with good time management
• Excellent analytical, drafting and negotiating skills
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
