Legal Counsel

The M&A Legal team in Singapore performs 3 functions: (1) legal support for M&A transactions in Asia Pacific and the Middle East; (2) legal support for JVs in Asia Pacific and the Middle East; and (3) corporate legal work in respect of the Singapore entities in the Danone group and JVs. Your role as Legal Counsel in the M&A Legal team, is responsible for all corporate legal work and supports the team on M&A transactions. This role is a 6-months contract.

• Coordinating corporate secretarial matters for Danone entities and JVs in Singapore and in the region
• Managing the corporate legal aspects of internal corporate projects
• Liaison between Paris HQ and local/regional entities on corporate matters
• Assisting with legal support for JVs in the region (including director training, corporate legal matters, supporting internal business stakeholders and partner negotiations)
• Active participation in M&A projects from inception to post-closing: due diligence, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, signing and closing preparations, post-closing actions, drafting internal summaries
• Assisting with the management and organization of projects for the team, including process improvement projects

About you

• Possess a good law degree
• 3 – 5 years PQE with the Corporate department of a top law firm
• Inhouse experience helpful but not essential
• Singapore law qualification
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Mandarin would be very useful
