We are seeking an enthusiastic Legal Counsel to collaborate across business units and advise on a diverse range of matters, including privacy and data protection, intellectual property, commercial and consumer law, and contract reviews. You will be engaging with numerous stakeholders across the organisation. You will also be involved in the organisation’s corporate governance matters, including the Club’s annual general meeting and Council election process.

What will you be doing?

  • Advising on legal and regulatory issues that impact the organisation
  • Working with a variety of stakeholders to anticipate and minimise legal risk
  • Negotiating, drafting and reviewing a range of legal contracts, leases, software licences, and terms and conditions
  • Providing legal support and advice on corporate governance and company secretarial matters
  • Providing innovative solutions
  • Reporting directly to the Executive Manager Legal and Governance

What are we looking for?

  • An enthusiastic and proactive lawyer with a pragmatic mindset
  • Ability to work autonomously while still being collaborative and a team player
  • Positive attitude, flexible and displays resilience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Approx. 3 years post qualification experience, preferably in Corporate/ Commercial
  • Exposure to IT, Data and Cyber Security is advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Admitted to practice law in Western Australia
